To help to create and maintain a person-centered therapeutic environment in which individuals with developmental disabilities can reach their maximum potential
Responsible for the development and oversight of the Person-Centered Behavior Support Plans for a specified caseload of individuals, developed in conjunction with inclusive Functional Behavioral Assessments. Responsible for maintaining all behavioral data related to individuals on assigned caseload.Participates in all service planning meetings involving the individuals on assigned caseload, across settings. Â Acts as the liason between day and residential programming to ensure consistency in the behavioral planning whenever possible and to ensure that goals match the needs of the individual across different settings.Models behavioral interventions. Provides counseling and therapeutic support to individuals on assigned caseload.Maintains regular communication with and coordination of services with all service providers.Participates in staff and treatment team meetings and trains staff on the clinical needs of the individuals on assigned caseload.Â Conducts necessary psychological evaluations or assessments as needed.Chairs or participates in relevant committees. Completes all paperwork in a timely manner, ensuring that functional behavioral assessments, person centered behavior support plans and all other required documentation meets the requirements of standards set by OPWDD. Completes monthly notes on individualâ€™s behavioral progress.Â Â Â Participates in appropriate committee meetings.Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and protected information according to HIPAA standards.Conducts self in a professional and courteous manner at all times.Demonstrates teamwork by assuming expected role on the team and maintaining collaborative relations with other members.Demonstrates commitment to departmental and organizational goals.Assumption of other duties as assigned.
Doctoral degree in psychology or LCSW preferred; BCBA or Masterâ€™s Degree with OPWDD experience considered.Experience working with individuals with varying degrees of intellectual/developmental disabilities a must; experience working with individuals with autism a plus.Excellent organizational/communication skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required.Bi-lingual (English/ASL) a plus.
