Address immediate Foster/Adoptive parent crisis. Provide support to Foster/Adoptive parents to improve communication between the child and teens in their care. Stabilize foster home placements and help prevent reoccurring child trauma.
Address all calls from foster parents in crisis.
Make initial/follow up home visits to distressed foster parents to stabilize the home and prevent placement disruptions.
Facilitate case conferences to diffuse crisis situations and attend Family Team Conferences (FTC) on problematic cases.
Facilitate open and ongoing communication between foster parents, youth in their homes, family foster care staff.
Facilitate Parent to Parent meetings
Assist Case Planners with assigned tasks.
On- call 24 hours
Other related duties assigned by supervisor.
Demonstrate conceptual understanding of developmentally appropriate behaviors for children and adolescents
Knowledge of child welfare system
Knowledge of Crisis intervention skills/techniques and childhood trauma.
Highly organized, efficient, and capable of navigating often unstructured and changing environment.
Computer Proficient. Knowledge of Connections preferred
Must be able to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends.
