    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate evaluation clinic.
    • Provide written educational observations.
    • Provide written preschool student evaluation summary reports.
    • Prepare for school district meetings, and consulting with social worker.
    • Attend CPSE meetings by reviewing student records for tracking logs in conjunction with program director.
    • Provide coverage for classroom teaching staff.
    • Keep program director informed about outstanding issues related to the evaluation clinic and center based program.
    • Coordinate writing of progress reports to parents.
    • Participate in development/updating of IEP’s.
    • Serve as liaison between school and CPSE/CSE .
    • Assist teaching staff preparation and implementation of lesson plans.
    • Prepare and maintain bus list and take daily child head count coordinate.
    • Coordinate school trips.
    • Develop and monitor behavior programs in conjunction with school psychologist.
    • Perform other related work as requested by program director/director of early childhood education.

    Qualifications

    • Full-time, school calendar + summer programming
    • NYS certified special education teacher - Students with Disabilities (Birth Grade 2)
    • Masters Degree in special education
    • Two years early childhood special education teaching experience preferred
