    • Delivers speech therapy using a variety of service delivery models, including classroom intervention and individual or group sessions consist with the IEP mandates
    • Conducts evidence-based practices which target the goals and objectives of student IEPs
    • Administers standardized and informal tests and screenings, interprets and writes up results
    • Collaborates with classroom teachers on speech-language disorders and curriculum demands
    • Prepares IEPs for Committee on Special Education Annual Review based on student strengths and weaknesses
    • Maintains master caseload list with accurate mandates
    • Communicates and consults with supervisor, principal, nurse, occupational therapist, school clinicians, guidance counselor, teachers, support staff, residential staff etc.
    • Assists with formation of functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans when appropriate
    • Communicate with families/guardians of Biondi students and make referrals to outside providers when needed
    • Coordinate care with community-based service providers, home school district as well as the residential treatment team
    • Provide coverage for other cases as needed and if applicable oversees, supervises and cosigns the work of speech teacher
    • Assumption of other duties as assigned


    • Master’s degree in Master's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
    • NY State license in Speech-Language Pathology
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech- Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) credential offered by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
    • Strong clinical skills
    • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and protected information ensuring HIPAA compliance
    • Certification in identifying child abuse and neglect
    • Experience working with diverse, at-risk population of children and adolescents
    • Flexible and adaptable – able to change with the changing environment and regulations
    • Willingness to continually learn and grow and incorporate best clinical practices based on evidence and research
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills including strong clinical writing and verbal communication
    • Reliable and punctual
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) required. Familiarity with Power School and IEP Direct a plus
    • Knowledge of NY State Office of Special Education requirements a plus
    • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
