  • Overview

    The primary responsibility of the clinic Director is the administrative and clinical supervision of licensed and non-licensed staff ant their performance evaluation as well as the coordination and provision of mental health services as required. The clinic Director ensures that needed mental health services for all children, youth and their related adults are met, and it requires knowledge and compliance with the different regulatory bodies including NYSOMH, Medicaid and Manage Care regulations as it pertains to outpatient clinic services. The Clinical Director provides direction, information, training, evaluation, and instruction to all clinic’s personnel.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the day to day operations
    • Participate in all meeting, as assigned
    • Participate in planning and policy creation
    • Monitor program for continue improvement
    • Represent agency to external constituents as needed
    • Facilitate weekly team meetings and case conferences
    • Hire, train and supervise licensed and non-licensed staff
    • Schedule and monitor staff attendance to ensure proper coverage
    • Work together with clinical supervisor to Monitor all treatment plans
    • Provide individual and group supervision of all program and support staff
    • Submit monthly OMH reporting and internal reports including performance indicators
    • Coordinate and oversee admissions process in accordance with all relevant intake criteria
    • Oversee documentation of mental health services provided per requirements of regulatory agencies
    • Develops monitors and maintain relations with community mental health providers and regulatory bodies
    • Works collaboratively with Performance Evaluation and Management Department to ensure performance outcomes are met
    • Assurance of quality, management of records, compliance with mandates for regulators, budgeting and billing, service coordination, and contracting/linking with external resources
    • Development and implementation of mental health policies, procedures and protocols as mandated by the guidelines in accordance with all existing State, Federal and local regulations
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in social Worker with an LCSW
    • Medical/Clinic Management Experience (5-7 years)
    • Strong budget and fiscal skills
    • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus
    • Ability to consistently demonstrate respect and cultural awareness
    • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required
    • Adaptable and flexible in an ever-changing environment that often demands balancing values, effectiveness and efficiency while promoting opportunities for creativity and innovation
