Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Outreach Coordinator oversees outreach to and recruitment of community members and community-based organizations and handles various administrative responsibilities for the program. The Outreach Coordinator works on budgets with the Program Coordinator, orders supplies and equipment, and participates in the completion of reports and other correspondence.



Outreach Responsibilities

  • Respond to in-person, telephonic and electronic queries from community members by providing information and/or referrals to community organizations.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with local agencies, organizations, and relevant businesses.
  • Work collaboratively with Program Coordinator to grow the resource base with new referral sources to meet program and community needs.
  • Identify and arrange for participation in networking/outreach opportunities for FRC staff in the community.
  • Identify programs and events in the community for FRC clients and assist with registration and participation.


General Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, answering telephones, correspondence, etc.
  • Monitor program budget expenditures.
  • Prepare purchase orders, equipment inventory.
  • Assist Program Coordinator in the preparation of reports for local and state agencies.
  • Monitor family and children attendance records for program participation.
  • Perform additional duties, as assigned.


  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • Minimum of high school diploma. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in social service-related area, preferred.
  • Excellent oral and writing skills
  • Must be available to work on weeknights and weekends, as needed, to participate in FRC programs and outreach.
