Supervise and provide care, direction and guidance to children and youth 0 -16 years of age.  Assist with the record keeping and perform duties necessary for the overall care and well-being of the children and youth within the programs which also includes the upkeep of the facility.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Manages groups with the focus on age-appropriate activities and socialization.
  • Provides attention and support for medical issues, students education/vocational needs, and all appointments.
  • Develops healthy and helping relationships with children/youth and families.
  • Coordinate individual activities and group activities such as games and trips.
  • Logs all reports, incidents and informs the caseworkers and supervisors of any issues related to children/youth.
  • Provides basic care to infants, toddlers and children in program including meals and snacks, as well as attending to developmental, health and safety needs.
  • Supervise visits with infants, children and youth and their families.
  • De-escalate when children and youth are in crisis.
  • Other related tasks that may be assigned.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Clean Driver’s License.
  • Successful completion of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and ongoing refresher training.
  • Possess a strong belief in people’s ability to grow and change.

 

Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to complete all standard administrative and support tasks including but not limited to climbing up and downstairs, operation of computers/phones/printers and copy machines, and the ability to lift boxes, furniture, and equipment up to 30 lbs.  Must be able to travel from the various locations and sites of Rising Ground.  Must have a completed physical which includes tuberculosis testing.

New View, overnight – 12am – 8am

Bruner, overnight – 12am – 8am

 

New View, Evening 4pm – 12am

Bruner Evening – 4pm – 12am

 

 Hourly rate: $20.50
