About the Role:

To certify/approve all assigned regular and kinship homes within the prescribed time frame (3/4 months).  Must also be able to complete foster home re-certifications as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Make a minimum of one-in-home consultation visits to each home.  Obtain all required materials/documentation to complete the process
  • See two references in person
  • Complete Home Study and submit via CONNECTIONS for review and approval within prescribed time frame.
  • Attend all staff meetings (Main Campus and Williamsbridge)
  • Demonstrate responsiveness and ability to work with a culturally diverse population.
  • Be able to conduct GPS/MAPP II training sessions.

Qualifications

  • MUST be able to do extensive traveling to all NYC boroughs, and outer boroughs
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus related experience
  • Be able to work flexible hours
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must possess good writing and oral skills
  • Certification in the MAPP/GPSII Process
  • Bi-lingual a must
  • Valid NYS Driver’s license

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday in our Headquarters at 151 Lawrence Street, Brooklyn, NY. Work hours options are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm, 10 am - 6 pm.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to work in-person in New York City (NY) for at least 3 days or more per week.
  • Ability to travel to other Rising Ground sites (if required)

Our Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary for this position is $50,000.00 depending on experience and fit for the role. Rising Ground offers competitive compensation based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size.
