Rising Ground is seeking a skilled Licensed Social Worker-Mental Health Coordinator (MHC) to oversee the specialized clinical team providing mental health assessments to students and their families at our three Bronx-based Community Schools, JHS22, PS195 and PS123. The MHC will liaise with the school faculty of the three Community Schools and our in-house clinical team to provide interventions and participate in the development of individualized education plans to ensure that the clinical and psycho-educational needs of students are being met. In addition, the MHC will work closely with the school-based support team at JHS22 in recommending or creating groups or other school-based activities beneficial to the school community. Clinical intervention will be grounded in the clinical model of youth development, using a strengths-based approach. The Mental Health Coordinator will maintain clear and consistent communication with the Principal, Rising Ground leadership team, Assistant Principal, school faculty, school-based support team, students and their parents.
