The Case Planning Supervisor oversees the day-to-day case management activities for the assigned NSP and LSP programs, including Aftercare in LSP. The Case Planning Supervisor oversees the assessment, planning, family engagement, and evaluation process for case planners, family workers, and case aids, ensuring compliance with all guidelines, quality assurance standards, and performance indicators for Close to Home programs. Work includes guiding referrals and discharge activities, coordinating and facilitating the treatment teams, monitoring, and guiding referrals and discharge activities as well as coordination of linkages with community-based support programs and services, and overseeing aftercare for LSP programs. Functional Family Therapist - (www.fftllc.com) for Rising Ground (www.risingground.org, NYC).  Looking for visionaries eager to utilize an evidence based therapeutic model to support youth in understanding how experiences in their personal relationships and world experiences impact how they navigate, survive, and thrive in their worlds. Join us in this ground-breaking initiative to provide Functional Family Therapy to young people, ages 16-24, who have been released on their own recognizance or at-risk for justice involvement. Our goal is to empower young people to identify and utilize skills to strengthen various areas of their lives, all while working to reduce recidivism. Flexible schedule including some nights and weekends, depending on needs of the client. Looking for candidates with strong interpersonal and communication skills and desire to work on a supportive team with constructive oversight. Experience in family systems therapy or behaviorally-based marital and substance abuse treatment therapy preferred. Master’s in a mental health field or related field required. Full-time job with competitive benefits, including tuition reimbursement and free clinical supervision hours.      The FFT Therapist provides FFT (Functional Family Therapy) virtually, to a maximum of 10 voluntarily participating families at a time who reside in NYC. The target population of young adults (16-25 years old), who are referred to us after an arrest. Rising Ground is participating in a pilot program to offer FFT to families and young people who might otherwise find themselves incarcerated without this alternative.     FFT is an evidence-based model which is home-based, intensive, family therapy. Although, with the current status of COVID-19 in New York City, we are offering both virtual and in-person sessions with families. This is a hybrid position, combining remote, office, and community-based work. The FFT Therapist participates in all FFT training and consultation activities, and program reviews.  In addition to providing Family Therapy, the FFT Therapist will collaborate with other service providers, including but not limited to the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) and New York City Criminal Justice Agency (CJA). STEPS is a program of Edwin Gould Services for Children and Families.   The Director of Children's Services position is located at the Staten Island Family Justice Center (SIFJC). The Family Justice Centers are an initiative of the Mayor's Office to Combat Domestic Violence and are designed to reduce barriers to support faced by survivors of intimate partner violence, elder abuse, and sex trafficking. STEPS is co-located at the SIFJC and partners with the Mayor's Office, the Richmond County District Attorney's Office, and other community-based organizations to provide a safe and welcoming place for survivors and their children.The STEPS Children's Services staff at the SIFJC provides clinical and supportive services to child witnesses of intimate partner violence. The Director of Children's Services implements and oversees all aspects of the Children's Services provided by STEPS staff at the SIFJC. STEPS is a program of Rising Ground.   The Economic Empowerment Specialist (EES) will maintain a caseload of 20-25 clients seeking Economic Empowerment services. The EES will provide trauma-informed support and advocacy to survivors of intimate partner violence on issues related to career and educational goals, budgeting, job applications, resumes and cover letters, credit review and repair strategies, housing advocacy, immigration advocacy, SNAP benefits and public assistance, food resources, and financial independence and wellness. The EES will also provide written advocacy and court/appointment accompaniment. The EES is responsible for maintaining all documentation, client files, and notes as required by the agency. The EES will receive one hour per week of individual supervision. All candidates must have a strong understanding of trauma-based work. The Senior Counselor position will work under the supervision of the TSP Supervisor remotely/at home. Since the program's founding in 1986, STEPS has been deliberately dedicated to engaging in work that is innovative and deeply survivor-centered and works to promote the idea that support for survivors of IPV that is not aligned with anti-oppressive, anti-racist, feminist/womanist principles tend to unintentionally mimic systems of oppression, and is ultimately, re-traumatizing and ineffective.      About the Project:   This ACS-funded Gender Responsive Diversion Demonstration Project, JustUs, is facilitated by Rising Ground’s STEPS to End Family Violence program in collaboration with Girls for Gender Equity (GGE). This project is a holistic, gender-responsive program for girls and lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer/transgender, and gender non-conforming (LGBQ/TGNC) youth who are involved, or at high risk of involvement, in the youth justice system. The project - which is grounded in the tenets of healing-centered, anti-oppressive practice - brings together highly-skilled individual coaching; evidence-based clinical interventions; opportunities for young people to engage in group-based activities; economic empowerment skill building; a workplace pilot project; and space where young people can come together to build community.
