The TRC serves recent victims of violent crime, including survivors of physical assault, sexual assault, gun shot wounds, stabbings, domestic violence and human trafficking. The Trauma Recovery Center facilitates healing for survivors of trauma, violence, and loss through an innovative model that blends comprehensive care, advocacy and outreach.   The Children's Services Coordinator will be responsible for creating and providing a safe and welcoming place for trauma survivors and their children. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for social justice and anti-oppressive practice, ample experience implementing services to a wide age range of people, and a desire to work collaboratively with a team. Non-Secure and Limited Secure Placements are part of a groundbreaking initiative to provide services and support for juvenile justice system-involved youth in residential placement facilities closer to their families, communities, and schools.   The Youth and Family Mental Health Clinician will serve as a primary therapist and provide specific interventions including reviewing and integrating specific assessment information to write and monitor treatment plans, reviewing and revising treatment plans as necessary, and providing clinical support to other LSP staff including training.

The Unaccompanied Children Program provides transitional residential care and other supportive services to Unaccompanied Children (UC) who are under legal custody of the Federal Government. Working in collaboration with the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement, ORR, our program provides a safe and nurturing environment for youth in a Basic Shelter program located at our licensed residential facilities as well as a Transitional Foster Care program in foster homes in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Westchester. In all programs, we provide therapeutic, medical and educational services, as well as other supports that youth need to achieve success through an array of strength-based and targeted interventions as we link them with family members and/or other sponsors in the United States. Care Management is a service model whereby all of an individual's caregivers communicate and interface so that the member's needs are addressed in a comprehensive manner. This is done primarily through a "care manager" who oversees and provides access to all of the services an individual needs to assure that they receive everything necessary to prevent hospitalizations, stay healthy, and maintain stability. The Care Manager is ultimately responsible for the overall provision and coordination of services to assigned caseload. The Supervisor of the Castle Hill Day Habilitation program is responsible for the supervision of people supported in the Adult Group Day Habilitation Program and children/adults in the Supplemental Group Day Habilitation without walls program. She/he ensures that the people attending the program receive the supports they need, oversees the maintenance of programs, writes the day habilitation goals, develops, and ensures the implementation of habilitation plans and coordinates his/her attendance in conjunction with the 3 Assistant Supervisors at the scheduled ISP meetings bi-annually for each person. She/he supports and assists each person in attaining their needs, desires, and dreams through a person-centered planning focus. She/he assures quality services by providing an environment that is conducive to the welfare of the person and in accordance with federal, state, local, and organization regulations and policies. She/he provides direct support and supervision to the Assistant Supervisors of the Adult Day Habilitation and Supplemental Group Day habilitation program as well as secondary supervision to the Direct Support Professionals. She/he leads the programs and serves as an advocate to ensure appropriate treatment, teaching, and protection of the individuals’ rights. She/he develops and cultivates positive relationships with families and other stakeholders. She/he monitors the services provided to the individuals in each of the programs. She/he is able to lead the team and responsible for allocating fixed duties to each member of the team.
